Man Arrested For Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins

ASHEBORO, N.C. -- Deputies say they arrested the man responsible for multiple vehicle break-ins in Asheboro.

Officers investigated vehicle break-ins at three homes in the 4000 block of Old Lexington Road on Thursday morning. 

Firearms, electronics, power tools and money were among the stolen items. One homeowner told deputies a chainsaw was taken from their outbuilding.

Officers said they found the items in a van they pulled over for a traffic violation. 

They arrested Roger Dale Lockamy.

Prosecutors charged Lockamy with: 

  • Five counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle
  • Five counts Misdemeanor Larceny
  • Two counts Larceny of a Firearm
  • Two counts Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods
  • Two counts Possess Stolen Firearms
  • Two counts Carrying Concealed Weapon
  • Two counts Possession of Firearm by Felon
  • Breaking and Entering
  • Larceny after Breaking and Entering
  • Felony Possession of Stolen Goods
He is currently in the Randolph County Jail. A judge set his bond at $600,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
