City Of Trinity Completes Election Recounts

TRINITY, N.C. - Two elections in the City of Trinity were so close that two recounts took place Friday at noon.

The first recount verified Fran Andrews won the mayoral election over incumbent Carlton Boyles.  Recounts numbers show Andrews received 397 votes and Boyles received 388.

The other recount was for Trinity Council Ward 2. The initial winner, incumbent Barry Lambeth, had his win over Steve Lawing confirmed.  Lambeth got 496 votes to Lawing's 493.
