NORTH CAROLINA, N.C. - North Carolina will get $38.8 million as part of a Medicaid fraud settlement with drug maker Johnson & Johnson.
The money is only a chunk of the $1.2 billion settlement Johnson & Johnson agreed on with other states and the federal government.
This settlement resolves allegations that Johnson and Johnson and a subsidiary company improperly marketed two anti-psychotic drugs.
The money awarded to North Carolina will go to Medicaid and public schools.
