WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Winston Salem Police say a woman who worked at Wake Forest Baptist Gift Shop has been arrested and charged with using hospital funds to buy personal items.

Susan Craddock Washabaugh was arrested Thursday. She is charged with eight counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center told police they started an internal audit into Washabaugh's purchasing history in early 2013. The audit revealed that more $3,000 in personal items were purchased using hospital funds.

Washabaugh was given a $3,000.00 unsecured bond. She has a scheduled court date for December 19.

Wake Forest Baptist Medical center says Washabaugh is no longer an employee with the hospital.
