COLFAX, N.C. -- The Guilford County Sheriff's Office says the man wanted for stabbing his wife and assaulting her two daughters has turned himself in.
Napoleon Gyant is facing multiple charges including Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Attempted First-Degree Murder, Violation of a Domestic Violence Order and Assault on a Female.
According to the sheriff's office, Gyant stabbed his wife in her hands, legs, arms, chest and torso late Sunday morning.
It happened at her home in Colfax. Gyant's wife is expected to leave the hospital Tuesday.
Investigators say he also hit her two daughters. The sergeant says Gyant punched his wife's 22-year-old daughter in the face twice, while she was holding her 4-year-old sister. The little girl has bruising on her waist.
He has past convictions for second degree kidnapping and an assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Gyant is in jail under no bond.
