Stuff A Stocking Toy Distribution Under Way

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Thousands of local children in need will get the Christmas they deserve, thanks to the Stuff A Stocking campaign. 

Friday was the first day families could come pick up toys donated by people in the community. 

WFMY News 2, the Salvation Army, Chick-Fil-A and Mattress Firm teamed up for the 4th annual toy drive. Through the program, 4,000 children will receive toys this Christmas - in Greensboro alone.

Families, that have already made arrangements with the Salvation Army can pick up toys for their children Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Greensboro pickup location is at 3712 S. Holden Rd. in the building located next to K&W Cafeteria. 

WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright spent the morning with Major Don Vick of the Salvation Army of Greensboro to talk about this year's campaign and why it's important for the community to continue to support it.
