Airports around the country are already seeing the holiday crunch, and families are getting an early start on what could be a record two weeks of trips.
Those driving are in for an early gift. Prices at the pump are the lowest they've been in three years during the holiday season.
AAA says more than 94 million people will take to the roadways and runways.
Of those hitting the road, 91%, or 85.8 million, will travel by car. Holiday air travel is projected to decline slightly to 5.53 million from 5.61 last year, according to AAA.
