TOBACCOVILLE, N.C. -- The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office says they have charged three teenagers with animal cruelty after they allegedly burned and killed a opossum.
Chief Deputy Stanley tells WFMY News 2 investigators found a video on a social media site where the teens captured and burned the opossum, resulting in its death.
Deputies say they arrested Kalob Jennings Hubbard, 18, of Tobaccoville and Jared Raymond Rose, 17, of King on Sunday and charged them each with Felony Animal Cruelty. Both were placed in the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center under a $10,000.00 secure bond.
An unidentified 15 year-old male was also reported to be involved by deputies. Chief Stanley says a juvenile petition has been submitted for him.
