EDEN, N.C. -- A "third time may really be the charm" after police officers caught two teenagers breaking into a drive thru store in the third break-in at the store within four days.
The Eden Police Department says someone first broke into the Fast Lane Drive Thru Store on West Stadium Drive, January 19. During that crime, police say the suspect stole money and electronic cigarettes. The store was targeted again on January 21, and this time the suspect stole alcohol and cigarettes. The next day, January 22, officers say they caught two teenagers at store stuffing cigarettes into a back pack.
One teenager is charged with 3 Counts of Felony Breaking and Entering and 2 Counts of Felony Larceny, according to police. The other teenager is charged with Felony Breaking and Entering and Felony Larceny.
Both teenagers were placed into the Rockingham County Jail and have a court appearance scheduled for February.
