WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Organizers with the Dixie Classic Fair are reporting above normal attendance.
Opening weekend brought in 95,000 people. Organizers say that is about 17,000 more than the fair's five-year average of nearly 78,000 people.
“This year’s Dixie Classic Fair is off to a great start,” said David Sparks, director of the Dixie Classic Fair. “Fairgoers are enjoying the wide variety of exhibits and entertainment the Fair provides. We’re looking forward to providing even more people with lasting memories over the next seven days.”
The fair fun runs through Sunday Oct. 9.
