 WFMY News 2's Chad Silber is ringing the Salvation Army bell this week and it's a road tour this year. We're calling it the Chad Silber Bell Ringing Tour 2. 

GREENSBORO, N.C.-- WFMY News 2's Chad Silber is ringing the Salvation Army bell this week and it's a road tour this year. We're calling it the Chad Silber Bell Ringing Tour 2. 

Chad's red kettle tour started in Greensboro on Monday, traveled to Winston-Salem Tuesday, High Point Wednesday and ended Thursday in Asheboro. 

A spokesperson for the Asheboro Salvation Army says Chad set a single day collection record with a collection of $1,095.00. The previous record was $700.

Chad was up bright and early Monday morning to be outside at the Walmart on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro to kick off the tour. He started at 6:30am and will be there until 11:30pm. 

 

 

Chad's tour dates and locations:

Monday, December 18: 6:30am-11:30pm at Greensboro Walmart on Battleground Avenue.

Tuesday, December 19: 11a-7p - Hanes Mall Food Court, inside Hanes Mall, in Winston-Salem

Wednesday, December 20: 11a-7p - Hobby Lobby in High Pointm 2506 N. Main St.

Thursday, December 21: 11a-7p - Asheboro Walmart on Highway 64
