Firehouse Ducks Go Quack, Quack, Quack!

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. – When the alarm sounds firefighters at Alamance Community Fire Department Station 54 in Guilford County waste no time getting to an emergency.

But you could very well say, the fire department has an entire new crew among them!

Fire Station 54 is home to six new ducklings who are learning their way around the new world including fire sirens, training exercises, and the works.

The ducklings have very well become a big part of the firehouse community. The firefighters take breaks to visit the ducklings at the pond and in between emergency calls.

However, this isn’t anything new for the fire department as the ducks have made the pond at the firehouse their home. Every spring they get a new crew of ducklings!

The ducks even make their way up to the firehouse to pay the firefighters a visit.
