Greensboro Pride Festival Brings Big Crowd Downtown

The Greensboro Pride Festival was held downtown Saturday among nice weather with games, food trucks, performers and music shows. 

Saturday marked the 12th year in the festival's history and the third straight year it's been held on Elm Street.

"It really shows how welcoming Greensboro is," said Paul Marshall, chair of the festival. "This is such a safe place for anybody to come and have a good time and can be themselves."

"While we've come a long way, we've got a long way to go," Marshall said. "It's events like this that'll let people know what the LGBT community's all about."
