Sunday, November 12 | Parades and Ceremonies to Honor Veterans
Time: 2 p.m. - Downtown Greensboro
Summary: Participants are invited to join the parade in honor of veterans. Veterans organizations, decorated vehicles, floats, performance groups, and community groups are all invited to be in the parade. Awards will be given for Most Patriotic, Best Musical Entry, and Best in Parade. There is no entry fee to participate. Click here to register.
Time: 3 p.m. - Downtown High Point
Parade starts on South Main Street at Russell, ends at Montlieu
Sunday, November 12 | Town of Pleasant Garden Veterans Appreciation Ceremony
Time: 2 p.m. - Auditorium of Pleasant Garden Elementary School
Summary: Pleasant Garden proudly hosts its annual Veterans Appreciation ceremony by recognizing the armed forces and those who have performed their duty for this country. This patriotic program honors veterans and their families.
Sunday, November 12 | Country Park Hosts Veterans' Day Ceremony
Time: 2 p.m.
Where: Guilford County Veterans' Memorial Park in Country Park, Greensboro
Summary: The Steve Millikin Black Cap Veterans group is hosting the event. Retired US Air Force Captain Cherie L. Smith will be the guest speaker.
Sunday, November 12 | Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Greensboro
Time: 3 p.m. - South Asheboro Middle School Ball Field
Closing Ceremony for the 'Field of Honor'. Presentation and Retirement of the Colors, 21 Gun Salute and Taps by the Randolph Co. Honor Guard. Reading of Names by Asheboro JROTC, Moment of Silence and Bagpipes by Andy Maness.
