Rockingham County 911 Goes Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC - Rockingham County emergency dispatchers are rocking a new color for the month of October.

The entire team has a new uniform for the whole month: tennis shoes, jeans, and a pink shirt to promote Breast Cancer Awareness.

According to Rodney Cates, Rockingham County Emergency Services Director, the reason for the pink is simple, he wants to show support for his team.

He told WFMY News 2 that according to statistics half of the people in the office are somehow directly affected by cancer, so he wants to show they are one cohesive team.
