5 Hour Stand-Off Ends Peacefully In Danville, Virginia

DANVILLE, VA – An attempt to find a wanted man ended in an armed stand-off for the Danville Police Department Thursday.

Danville Police said they went to Andrew Steven Petrick’s house to arrest him. When they got to the house Petrick threatened he had a gun and would not surrender.

Police called in Crisis Negotiators, and a SWAT Team.

After 5 hours negotiation, Petrick surrendered to the SWAT team and was taken without any problems.

Petrick has been taken to Danville Regional Medical Center for a mental health check. He will then face charges of larceny and forgery.
