94-Year-Old Frees Herself After Being Abducted, Put In Trunk

Police are searching for the suspect who robbed and kidnapped a 94-year-old woman, leaving her locked in the trunk of her car at the parking lot of Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA --  A 94-year-old woman was able to free herself from the trunk of her car after a man abducted her and drove her to the parking lot of a Scottsdale shopping mall. 

Police are still searching for the man who robbed her and forced her into the trunk.

The woman is in fair condition at a nearby hospital.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning at the woman's home near 68th Street and Camelback Road in Scottsdale.

She was left in the trunk for several hours, just across the street from her home.

After she freed herself from the trunk, someone called for help and police responded to help the woman.
