Asheboro Man Charged With Murder After Calling 911 Saying He Shot Son: Sheriff

ASHEBORO, N.C. -- An Asheboro man is accused of shooting and killing his son, according to the Randolph Co. Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies were called to a home on Old Cedar Falls Road on Friday. 

The sheriff's office says 68-year-old Michael Louis Coble called 911 and said he shot his son. 

Authorities found 38-year-old Darin Everette Coble unresponsive inside the home. 

Detectives charged Michael Coble with murder. He is being held at the Randolph County Jail with no bond.
