Burlington PD: Shots Fired at Parked Car

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Burlington Police responded to the 300 Block of N. Ireland Street on a report that a vehicle had been shot at, just after 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officers found three shell casings in the roadway.  
Investigators said nobody was inside the affected vehicle during the shooting, but they said the car was recently parked and they believed it was the intended target. 

 A witness described the suspect vehicle as a gold or tan Toyota Camry or similar vehicle, but could not see who was inside.
