Court Docs Disabled Woman Dragged Across Floor

DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC  A man tied up his disabled neighbor after entering her home and held her against her will for more than two hours Monday night, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.

A 67-year-old woman told Davidson County investigators she let Ryan McTheny, a neighbor, inside her house to use the phone. After a few minutes, McTheny pushed her to the floor and tied her up. McTheny was later found under shed in his back yard by deputies and was arrested.

McTheny, 44, was charged with First Degree Kidnapping, Assault on a Handicapped Person and Larceny of a Firearm. He was placed in Davidson County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond. He had his first appearance in court on Tuesday.
