GPD Arrest Suspect in Shooting at Gas Station

GREENSBORO, NC -- Greensboro Police have arrested the man they believe responsible for shooting, and seriously wounding a man outside a gas station, early Thursday morning.

Police arrested 21-year-old Malcom Wayne Simpson on Friday morning. Simpson is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon With Intent To Kill Inflicting Serious Injuries. He is being held in the Guilford County Jail under a $150,000 bond.

The shooting happened at the Exxon on East Market Street just before 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12. When police arrived, they found 25-year-old Devon Ja-Qual Feimster, who had been shot, in the parking lot.

Officers said Feimster got into an altercation with Simpson and another man he knew and was shot multiple times.

Feimster is currently listed in critical condition.
