Greensboro Police: One Killed, One Wounded In Shooting

GREENSBORO N.C. -- The Greensboro Police Department is investigating an early morning homicide on Trent Street.

Police said the person killed in the shooting was 24-year-old Clarence Eugene Toran, Jr.

Toran's brother, 22-year-old Terence Allen Toran, has been treated for a gunshot injury and released from the hospital.

Officers arrived at the Timber Hollow Apartments Friday at approximately 3:48 a.m. after reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, police found Clarence Toran, Jr. dead. EMS transported his brother to the hospital.

Officers continue to investigate this case. Police say they believe Clarence Toran, Jr. was shot more than once by a person who might have known him.

Police say they do not yet know the reason for the dispute.
