Guilford County Deputies Investigate Rash Of Car Break-ins

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- Guilford County Sheriff deputies are investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins from Saturday.

Guilford County Sheriff Colonel Randy Powers said a suspect or suspects went through eight to ten unlocked cars. Powers said many of the break-ins were during broad daylight.

The Sheriff Department said the break-ins happened in the south and southeast part of the county. There was cash, a firearm and other valuables stolen from vehicles. The Sheriff's office believes all the cases are connected.

Colonel Powers said the investigation is ongoing. Power said this is a good time for everyone to remember to always lock your car doors and keep valuables out of sight.
