High Point Police: Fight Leads To Shooting

HIGH POINT, NC -- High Point Police are looking for information in connection with a fight that led to a shooting Wednesday night.

Police say they responded to a report of a shooting on Vernon Place just after 6:00 pm Wednesday.  As officers investigated, they found several individuals were involved in a fight near the intersection of Evans and Commerce Streets. Police say multiple subjects at the scene discharged firearms, which led to Roderick Jenkins suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police say emergency crews took Jenkins to a local hospital to receive medical treatment.

Investigators have a warrant to arrest Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill or Inflict Serious Injury on Gregory Charles Baskins.
