Lexington Woman Dies After Shots Fired Into Home: Police

LEXINGTON, N.C. -- Police say a woman died after shots were fired from outside of her home in Lexington early Saturday morning. 

Police responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. on Bruce Street. 

Officers found Labrina Shanoya Daves, 41, with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene. 

Detectives have questioned persons of interest in this case. 

Police say the shooting does not appear to be random. 

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Lexington Area Crime Stoppers at 336-243-2400.
