Man Arrested In 2010 Murder Tries To Escape, 2nd Suspect Identified

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro Police say a man they arrested in connection with a man's murder from 2010, tried to escape Wednesday, while officers were admitting him into jail.

Brandon Tyrone Curtis, 25, is charged with First Degree Murder in the death of Rodney Len Frazier.

Police say Frazier was discovered shot to death on his front porch just days after Christmas in 2010.

Investigators say Curtis and another man forced their way into Frazier's home on Omaha Street in Greensboro. Officers say the two men physically assaulted Frazier and also his older brother, Michael Anthony Frazier. Rodney Frazier was shot before the men ran away from the house.

Police say they've identified a second man they believe is also involved in the murder but are withholding his name at the time.

Investigators say Curtis' arrest comes after extensive interview and forensic evidence linking him and another man to the murder.

Police say Curtis now also faces a charge of Prison Breach and Escape from a County or Municipal Confinement Facilities or Officers. He is in jail without bond.
