HIGH POINT, N.C. -- A man accused of hitting a 4-year-old boy with his truck and taking off is in jail.
High Point Police say officers arrested Brendan Lamar Johnson on Wednesday. He was charged with Felony Hit and Run and misdemeanor driving while license revoked as well as breaking and entering from a previous crime.
The accident happened Sunday on Wesley Drive. Police said the boy was riding his bike down a driveway when he was hit by a pickup truck and then dragged down the road for more than 30 feet. The boy was treated at the hospital for cuts and bruises.
Johnson is in High Point Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
