Man Charged 1st Degree Murder In Robbery Conspiracy: Police

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police charged a man with a murder that stemmed from a robbery conspiracy. 

Police charged Matthew David Stanford with First Degree Murder. Earlier in the investigation, he was charged with Robbery. 

Police say a group of six people tried to rob Larry Wayne Pratt on the night of April 20. 

Police found Pratt with gunshot wounds in the driver's seat of his car near a wooded area on Utah Place. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Those arrested include: 

  • Stanford, 22, was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and First Degree Murder

  • Jayquan Shaheme Lilly, 19, was arrested April 26 and charged with First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. 

  • Taro Michael Isley, 18, was charged with First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle. 

  • Kushaina Leadrienne Shaw, 21, is charged with First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

  • Kojo Masaba Kunti Williams, 23, was charged with Accessory After the Fact First Degree Murder.

  • Quiasha Nichelle Woods, 21, was charged with Accessory After the Fact First Degree Murder.

All six of them are in the Guilford County Jail. Lilly and Isley have no bail.

Williams is held on a $200,000 secured bond; Woods on a $15,000 secured bond; and, Stanford on a $850,000 secured bond. Shaw’s bond is unknown at this time.
