WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Winston-Salem police say the driver responsible for a crash that killed two people has been charged with two counts of second degree murder.

Ivan Johnathan Prudente-Anorve is jail on a 1-million dollar bond.

Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Waughtown Street and Vargrave Street on October 1.

The driver of the car that Anorve hit later died at the hospital. Police say a passenger that was in that car died a week later.

Police say Mr. Anorve did not stop for a flashing red light at the intersection.
