Man Shot In Car Pulls Into Rescue Building Parking Lot For Help: Police

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Police say a man who was shot in his car pulled into a Rescue Building parking lot for help. 

Police say the shooting happened somewhere around the 2800 block of Claremont Avenue on Tuesday. 

The victim, Mr. Smith, told police he was in his car when people inside another car shot at him. 

According to a release, Mr. Smith saw a police car parked at the old Rescue Building on 29th Street and drove in the parking lot for help. Police say he hit the garage door as he was pulling in. 

Police say Mr. Smith was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. No one else was injured.
