Men Wearing Halloween Masks Break Into Rockingham Co. Home: Sheriff

STONEVILLE, N.C. -- Rockingham County Sheriff's Deputies say two men wearing Halloween masks broke into a home and held people at gunpoint.

The home invasion happened around 4 a.m. Sunday morning at a house on Belthrop Road in Stoneville. Deputies say while two men broke into the home, another man waited outside in a car.

Deputies say Stephone Foster is one of the suspects. He is wanted for first degree burglary, second degree kidnapping, felony larceny, and assault by pointing a gun. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Detectives say Dominic Johnson, his girlfriend, and their child reported they were asleep when the masked men forced their way through the back door.

Johnson and another man who lives in the home were held at gunpoint. One of them was hurt during the incident.

The sheriff's report says the suspects took off in a cream-colored Chevy Impala.

Detectives found the vehicle and chased it to the end of George Street in Eden, but the suspects got out of the car and ran away.

Canine units and a helicopter were then called in to search the area.

Detectives are still trying to identify the other two suspects.
