Neighbors' Complaint Leads Police to Half a Million Dollars, Drugs, Guns in House

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say anonymous complaints helped officers find cash, drugs and guns inside a Steele Creek home.

CMPD said they found $500,000 in cash, over 5.7 pounds of cocaine, about two pounds of marijuana, two guns and other drugs inside a home on Hatton Cross Lane.

Three people were charged following the bust but a suspect is on the run.

CMPD took to Twitter to thank the neighbors for the tip Tuesday morning.

Officials have not released the suspects' identities and their charges.
