Police: Victim Held Captive Over Outstanding Debt

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Three people are in jail after Winston-Salem police investigated a reported kidnapping.

Police said the victim called his father and told him the people were holding him against his will because he owed them money. He said they wouldn't release him until he paid his debt.

The dad and investigators set up a meeting with the suspects Saturday in a parking lot on Peters Creek Parkway. Officers found the captors and arrested them before they received any money.

Police said the victim had head trauma because the suspects hit him repeatedly while they held him captive. They said his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Brandon Lilly is charged with Felonious Restraint; Jordan Brock is charged with Felonious Restraint and two counts of possessing illegal substances; Mikayla McBride is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Felony, possessing illegal substances and drug paraphernalia.

Police are still investigating this incident. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (336) 727-2800.
