Reidsville Man Pulls Knife On Walmart Employees: Police

REIDSVILLE, N.C. -- A man pulled a knife on Walmart employees after he was confronted for shoplifting on Thursday afternoon, Reidsville Police said. 

Police say Oscar Gregory Purcell drove off when officers tried to stop him in the parking lot. 

Police ended the chase after losing sight of his car on Crutchfield Road.

Officers spotted Purcell the next day at the intersection of Motley and Harris Streets and arrested him. 

Purcell faces multiple charges including attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of cocaine. 

He is in the Rockingham County Jail on a $35,000 secured bond.
