ST. LOUIS - Police are investigating after a Tower Grove doughnut shop was broken into early Saturday morning.
Vincent Van Doughnut was broken into sometime between 3:45 and 5 a.m.
Someone broke in and took the register and tablet. The store sustained damage, including a broken window, which is estimated to cost $1500.
The owner of the store told 5 On Your Side whoever is responsible left a doughnut hole trail out to the middle of the street.

Police are looking at video from surveillance cameras in the area.
The doughnut shop is still open following the break in.
