Second Armed Assault On Triad Officer This Weekend

KERNERSVILLE, NC - Two men are facing charges of assault on an officer after this weekend. 

Kernersville Police said that on Sunday morning officers found an assaulted 25-year-old woman. 

While investigating the scene officers were confronted by Bradley Justin Everhart who was armed with a handgun. Everhart then ran back and barricaded himself inside of his house. 

Three hours later police took Everhart into custody and is charged with two felony counts of an assault on a law enforcement officer as well a handful of more charges. 

Everhart is at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention center with no bond. 

The other incident happened Saturday night after a Winston-Salem Man threatened officers with a gun and said he would commit suicide. 

In this case the man was shot and taken to the hospital because the officers felt threatened.
