Sheriff: Copper Stolen From Duke Energy Sub-Station In Rockingham Co.

EDEN, N.C. – Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a Copper Bus Bar an Bushing from a Duke Energy Sub-Station located on 505 North Oakland Ave in Eden.

The value of the damage to the sub-station is of $60,000.

Investigators believe the theft happened between Friday, September 15 at 1 p.m. and Monday, October, 9 at 1 p.m.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact Detective Kim Willis at the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office at 336-634-3232 or by calling Rockingham County Crime Stoppers.

Callers to the Crime Stoppers Tipline remain anonymous and can receive up to $1,000 cash for tips on crimes leading to an arrest.
