Shots Fired In Kernersville Road Rage Incident

KERNERSVILLE, N.C.-- Two men are facing charges in Kernersville after police say shots were fired in a road rage incident.

According to the Kernersville Police Department, Sunday afternoon officers were dispatched on a 'shots fired' call around 5:12 p.m. at Lowes Home Improvement on Harmon Creek Road.

Their investigation revealed that shots were fired, in the parking lot of the business, after one driver was accused of hitting a pedestrian with his car.

Police say in retaliation, Justin Grant Nelson, 30, fired gunshots at 50-year-old Thomas Charles Landry.

Nelson is facing charges of: Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Discharging a Firearm within town limits. Landry is facing charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

No one was injured in the incident.

Both men were booked into the Forsyth County Detention Center.

No bond information was released.
