2 Cars Hit After Shots Fired in Greensboro Walmart Parking Lot

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police say two people were arrested after shots were fired in a Walmart parking lot Monday night. 

Officers responded to the Walmart on Ring Road in reference to gunshots around 6:00 p.m. Police say no one was hurt and two cars were hit by the gunfire. 

 

 

Police say several bystanders pointed officers toward a black Honda leaving the parking lot. 

The car then led officers on a short chase. 

Police say during the chase, a man got out of the vehicle and ran from the area. The car then continued a short distance and finally pulled over near Phillips Avenue and Huffine Mill Road. 

Police took a woman who was driving into custody. Officers also found the man and arrested him. 

21-year-old Favour Chukwu was charged with Possession of Firearm by Felon, Discharge of Firearm in City Limits, (3 counts) Damage to Personal Property, Delaying Police Investigation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $25,000. 

20-year old Ladanna James Mills of Greensboro was charged with Felony Speed to Elude, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Vehicle for Use, and Storage or Sale of Controlled Substances. Her bond is still pending.
