Suspect Charged In Stabbing At Rush Fitness

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro police are investigating a stabbing at Rush Fitness.

The incident happened Monday just after 6:30 p.m. at the fitness center on Randleman Road.

According to police, both the victim and the suspect knew each other. They started arguing inside the facility and then began fighting outside.

EMS took the 32-year-old victim to the hospital. Police say his wounds are not life threatening.

Officers arrested Stephen Tyrone Stewart II. He is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and was jailed under a $10,000 bond. He is no longer listed on the Guilford County Jail roster.

Police say doctors also treated Stewart because he was hurt during the fight.
