Suspects Lead Police On Chase In Winston-Salem

Police Chase Stolen Car in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Suspects driving a stolen white Volvo Sedan led Winston-Salem police officers on a chase on Thursday afternoon.

Police believe the suspects in the car have been involved in a number of crimes over the past two days - assault with a deadly weapon, shooting a gun into a home, speeding to elude police, and armed robbery.

Officers spotted the white car on Thursday around 1 p.m. on Silas Creek Parkway at the Bolton Street interchange.

When officers tried stopping the car, the driver took off.

The chase eventually led to the Huntington Creek neighborhood off Clemmonsville Road.

Police say the suspects got out of the car and tried running away before they were caught by officers.

No one was hurt as a result of the chase.

Police are still investigating. If you have information on this case, call Crime Stoppers at 336-727-2800.
