Teenager In High-Speed Chase Wrecks In Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.C. – Charges are pending against the 18-year-old driver of a vehicle in a high-speed chase who wrecked in Jamestown.

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office says deputies tried to pull Jordan James Burchett, from Thomasville, over around 1:45 a.m. Friday morning. The chase spanned three and a half miles.

Deputies say Burchett lost control, crashed into a brick wall and rolled over at the intersection of Guilford College and College Road.

EMS took Burchett to the hospital. The sheriff's office says he is in serious condition.
