Virginia Teen Found Safe After Amber Alert; Suspect In Custody

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WVEC) -- Virginia State Police say that 16-year-old Sinahi Aguilar-Cruz has been located safely in Prince William County after an AMBER Alert was issued Sunday morning.

Cruz's alleged abductor, 21-year-old Roberto Medrano Segovia, was taken into custody.


Officials launched an AMBER Alert after Cruz went missing overnight in Woodbridge. Police believed she was in extreme danger and that she was taken against her will.

Police believe Cruz was abducted by Segovia and that both were traveling in a dark Honda Civic.

No other details have been released at this time.
