Wake Forest Student And Friend Abducted, Robbed At Gunpoint

A Wake Forest University law student and his friend said they were briefly abducted, and then robbed at gunpoint Saturday night.

University Police said the student and his woman friend were driving up to Polo Road, which is university housing, when a man got in the car with a pistol and told them to drive to an ATM.

They drove the man to a Coliseum Drive ATM where they both took out money and gave it to him.

After taking out the money, police said the man with the gun made the student drive to the intersection of 25th and Thurmond streets where the suspect got out of the car and left.

The victims then called Winston-Salem Police who are working with Wake Forest University Police to help find the suspect.

Authorities ask that anyone with information regarding these incidents contact the Wake Forest Police Department at 336-758-5911 or the Winston-Salem Police Department at 336-773-7700 or CrimeStoppers at 336-727-2800.
