Woman Confronts Burglar In Her Basement: Burlington Police

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Burlington Police say a woman came home to find a burglar in her basement. 

The break-in happened at a home on Davis Street on Friday. Police say the woman told them she found a man in her basement and confronted him. The man then cut the woman with some sort of object and ran from the home, according to the police report. 

The man was reported wearing a grey coat with red around the zipper. Police say he was last seen on E. Davis Street near S. Mebane Street.
