Students Issued Clear Backpacks After Mass Stabbing

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh-area school where 24 people were hurt in a stabbing incident is issuing clear backpacks to students.

According to KDKA, the students at Franklin Regional High School will receive the backpacks Monday morning as part of an effort to make them feel safe.

"FR Strong" is written on the bags.

The incident happened in April. KDKA reports that two students are still in the hospital.

The suspect, Alex Hribal, is still in a juvenile detention center. He is facing 21 charges of attempted murder and will be tried as an adult.
