GYC Collecting Prom Dresses For Camille's Closet

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- From the hair, makeup, shoes, to finding the perfect prom dress it all adds up. But you can help make the dream of going to the prom possible for students who can't afford it. The Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) is collecting new and gently used prom dresses for Camille's Closet.

The organization helps provide prom dresses and accessories for prom night to girls in financial need.

You can drop off donations at the GYC office located at 501 Yanceyville Street in Greensboro from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Fridays.

You can also drop off donations at the following locations:

  • · Cheshire Center, 2500 N. Church St.
  • · Christ United Methodist Church, 410 N. Holden Rd.
  • · First Lutheran Church, 3600 W. Friendly Ave.
  • · Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, 794 Sedge Garden Rd., Kernersville

Girls in need of dresses will be able to shop on Tuesday, April 8 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 17 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the GYC office.
