WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --Detectives with the Winston-Salem Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division have charged two men with a series of robberies of Quality Inn hotels and businesses. The robberies span from July 22 through July 30, detectives said.
They two arrested were identified as Antonio Denard Torrence and Raymond Craig Johnson. Authorities said they linked them by locating an unoccupied vehicle in which evidence related to a robbery at the J&J Food Mart on S broad St was found inside the car.
Torrence has been charged with four counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and one count of Attempted Robbery. He's being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond.
Authorities have arrest warrants for Raymond Craig Johnson on charges of Robbery with Dangerous Weapon in connection the robberies. Police are still looking for Johnson.
