The company has received 38 reports of the light globes falling from fans due to incorrect instructions in the U.S. and Canada.

The fans were sold at Costco stores nationwide and at Costco.com from January 2016 – August 2017 for about $130.

If you have a recalled fan you’ll need to check to make sure the light globe was installed correctly. Make sure to turn it clockwise until it stops and is resting firmly in place. Costco and the Hunter Fan Company are contacting those who have purchased fans to provide you with instructions.

Hunter can be reached at 1-866-326-2003 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., CT, Monday through Friday, or online at Hunter Fan.
