Hot Hands: Do They Work?

2Test: Hot Hands

Hot hands silicone gloves claim they're heat-resistant, and water proof -- letting you handle all kinds of sizzling foods and heated utensils.

KVUE-- The bright red non-slip Hot Hands gloves look and feel a bit strange.  The fingers are supposed to be flexible.

"But does that mean that it actually not going to get hot on the inside or are they going to make my hand hot?"

"I'm building up the courage to reach into the pot!"

The gloves can withstand temperatures up to 425 degrees.
And they heat up fast.

Here's the thing, with Hot Hands, you're able to carry heated pans and stick your hands in boiling water. But it's just a silicone glove with no lining to protect you!  Your hands will get scorched.

"It was almost like reaching in there with your bare hands, it was really hot."

"Your hands are going to get hot in Hot Hands. I give it a thumbs down.
